If you have a challenge in your neighborhood, the first step to improve it is communicating with the City about what it can do better. Contacting City departments with an issue can seem intimidating, but the Improve Detroit app helps make communication for certain issues as easy as clicking a button.
Many of the issues you might have discussed in the Reflection and Group Activity could be issues that you can submit directly on the app. They include reporting:
- Potholes
- Illegal dump sites
- Abandoned vehicles
- Broken streetlights
- Houses in need of boarding
- Traffic complaints
- And many more
Your request is submitted directly to the appropriate department, and you’ll receive updates when the issue is accepted by the department and addressed.
You also can see a map of your neighbor’s requests, take pictures, and comment if you have additional information.
